The California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee Paramedic Academy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions.
Paramedic Academy Minimum Expectation Goal Statement
The minimum expectations of the Cal-JAC Paramedic Academy is to prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
Paramedic Program Outcomes
The 22-1 Cal-JAC Sacramento Paramedic Academy's graduating class had a 81% retention rate, 100% pass rate of the National Registry exam, and 76% positive placement rate.*
The 23-1 Cal-JAC Sacramento Paramedic Academy's graduating class had a 60.6% retention rate, 100% pass rate of the National Registry exam, and 80% positive placement rate.*
*Positive Placement means the graduate is employment full or part-time or volunteers in the profession or related field; or is continuing their education; or serving in the military.
